IMPACT MARKETING
AND FUNDRAISING
FELLOWSHIP

The future of social impact
in higher education is here.

ABOUT IMFF

Covalent’s Impact Marketing and Fundraising Fellowship convenes students, nonprofits and social impact professionals to work together at the intersection of digital marketing, fundraising and social impact. We raised $8,000 for nine nonprofits in the Chicago community while opening the door to the social impact sector for 20 students.

WE WORK WITH...

Fellows

We work with students passionate in developing skills in digital marketing (social media and email), brand strategy, client communications, nonprofit fundraising and personal branding. Learn what it takes to be successful in a client-facing role by leading a project and running a fundraising campaign.

Nonprofits

We support Black-led nonprofits in Chicago communities. We teach them the skills necessary to run an advanced fundraising campaign and provide pro bono digital marketing and fundraising services to increase the scope of their impact.

Mentors

Covalent Mentors

We invite professionals in the digital marketing and social impact sectors to serve as mentors. They guide fellows through their 10-week fellowship and help oversee the digital marketing and fundraising campaign.

AN OVERVIEW OF THE FELLOWSHIP

Week 1 (In-Person Training): Fellows will spend a day in Chicago meeting their cohort, learning digital marketing and fundraising skills, and practicing what it takes to be successful in a client-facing role. The remainder of the week will be continued virtually.

Week 2 (Virtual Training): Fellows will continue training, meet their mentor and host the introductory meeting with the impact organization they’ve been paired with.

Weeks 3-10 (Virtual Project): Fellows will conduct a research assessment, enhance their client’s digital marketing presence and execute a fundraising campaign to support the nonprofit’s mission.
